When Lou and I started this blog in 2018 it was about Lou, her cancer diagnosis and her survival fight. Lou wanted to take you on her journey of wellness. The narrative quickly became about fundraising for life-saving treatment, death and two beautiful children who abruptly lost their mother.
Continuing with a personal blog has helped me unpack and express a plethora of thoughts covering the challenges of losing my life partner and parenting on my own. The blog is now a story for Noah and Evie to return to and learn about Lou’s Lioness battle, about how much I attempt to continually fill their love cup on Lou’s behalf. It is now about me as a dad being the best version of myself. It’s about striking a balance and getting after it!!
Time moves so fast and the amount of time we have left in this beautiful world is out of our control. The way we spend that ever-diminishing time is up to us. Seneca wrote; “it’s not that we don’t have enough time, rather we use the time we have wastefully. We fail to treat time as something of value even though it’s our most valuable resource.”
