I am absolutely grateful not only to be healthy enough to run but also to be on the podium at the Oceania Masters Athletics Championship in 2025 at QSAC (Queensland Sport and Athletics Centre).
- Family there to watch!
- Silver in the 60 meters
- Bronze in the 100 meter dash..
I had two big running goals I wanted to achieve this year. The pursuit of these goals led me to the Oceania Masters in Brisbane this week, returning home with a couple of medals, which were beyond my expectations.
Evie was the first on the track after every race, which was incredibly special. She videoed the last race, but when I was five metres from the finish line, she was already recording the ground and her shuffling feet as she rushed from the stands to the track to hug me. ❤️
I had a little fan club with Liesh, Aren and Quinny in town.
After being unable to run for several years and my body breaking down, the process of getting back on track has been so enjoyable that I was winning before I was winning, if you know what I mean.
Consistency looks like nothing is happening, until everything changes.
Good times, great memories, big goals in the bag!
Thanks to my runinng coaches; Tom, Rich, Darren – @uptospeed_athletic @lonevolk @djacotine
