That’s not a bag of urine, beer or ice tea. It’s a litre of fluid drained from Lou’s right lung. The reason she hasn’t been eating and has had 24/7 nausea.
The tube was still attached in the pic, and the bag drained another .5 of a litre making it a rounded 1.5-litre, collected through thoracentesis. A procedure in which a needle is inserted into the pleural space between the lungs and the chest wall to remove excess fluid from the area.
Dearest Louise, just wont to send lots of love , strength, thoughts to you in wishing you well.
I remember bringing Scarlett over for sleepovers, way back then, she loved coming, she always said “Louise has such a great Mum, breaky in bed!!”
Louise do hope you are feeling a little better and can eat a little.
You have such a wonderful family.
Louise you are such a dear friend of Scarlett.
Will be there on the 6th.
Lots of love Libby Xooo
Thinking of you all. What a relief to be rid of that fluid. Keep fighting, champions xxx
Lou – I wish you all the strength to get through this time. You are extremely brave and resilient!
A very courageous woman.
All the Best and thoughts are with you!

I read Louise’s story the other day and just wanted to say she is a truly inspiring and brave woman. I hope she gets the results she needs from these targeted chemo treatments. Hope she makes a speedy recovery from the lung procedure. Thinking of you guys.
Dominic,
I am so sorry to read this about Louise. She is in our prayers. We are going through the same type of cancer with my wife.
